Maryland is full of interesting historical sites.  Once historical place you may visit while vacationing in Maryland is Antietam National Battlefield.  This Civil War site marks the end of General Robert E Lee’s invasion of the North.  Congress established the battlefield in 7890.  23,000 men were killed, wounded or missing at this battlefield.  The Annie Oakley house is found in Cambridge, Maryland, as one of the last standing houses occupied by Annie.  In Baltimore City, Maryland you will find the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site where ranger-guided tours are available.
